Moderator:
Angelo Cuzalina, MD, DDS, FAACS
Co-Moderator:
Albert Carlotti, III, MD, DDS, FAACS
Summary:
Face and neck lift surgery continues to be one of the most popular
cosmetic procedures in the world. The nuances of the procedure have
changed significantly in the past decade. The evolution of the classic short
flap and SMAS plication has now morphed into a deep plane lift with
sculpting or excision of deeper structures such as submandibular glands or
anterior digastric muscles by many surgeons. However, the jury is still out
on risk-benefit of these advanced techniques.
In this session, our expert panel of very experienced facelift surgeons will
explain the technical details of new as well as older, but well-proven facelift
techniques, and give opinions on when best to use one technique vs.
another. Each surgeon will explain their own preferred technique and when
best to use it and why. The session will include a Q&A section to allow you
to ask the panel for advice as well as inspire a great debate to some
common hot topics during modern facelifting. There will be a focus of
selecting a specific technique that best achieves a great result while limiting
risk.
